Pacify apps

Project Overview
Throughout late 2024 and into early 2025, Pacify replatformed our two existing apps - Pacify and the corresponding iProvider app. The new apps feature an improved user experience for both patients and providers as well as new functionalities including scheduling and live chat.

The Challenge
These new apps have greatly improved the user experience for Pacify users and providers. The updated materials have allowed clients to easily explain the new app features to their users and ensured an easy user experience from pre-enrollment through regular use of the app. This project required intensive long-term collaboration with all internal teams plus external development vendors. Results

Users can either login or create a new account.

New users follow a guided registration process, customized to where they are in their pregnancy or postpartum journey.

Users can choose to enter a Pacify code specific to their organization, check their insurance coverage, or pay for their own subscription.

The entire user experience is sprinkled with small moments of pause featuring custom splash illustrations to bring the user into the cozy, peaceful feeling of the brand.

After registration, new users are prompted to “Match with your doula”.

Users answer a series of questions that help the Pacify Care Coordinator to match them with a doula who is best suited to their interests or concerns. These questions are customized to match the user’s current phase of pregnancy or postpartum.

Once the user has been matched with a doula, they are able to schedule their first appointment.

Users can view their full care package and schedule appointments in the “Schedule” tab.

The user is able to view up-to-date provider availability to schedule an appointment. Here the patient app is informed by the corresponding iProvider app.

Besides their matched doula, users can also schedule appointments or chat with other care providers including lactation consultants.

When it comes time for their appointment, users can click to join their virtual appointment via video call.

At any point during their pregnancy, users can update their due date, which will update their care plan as well as the educational push notifications they receive throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey.

When it comes time for the big day, users can quickly tap a button to automatically notify their doula that they have gone into labor.

Users can visit the “Inbox” tab to view ongoing conversations or send a new message.

The patient app and iProvider chat integration allows providers to easily send Pacify Library links to users.

Users can visit the Pacify Library at any time to access clinically reviewed articles and care expert educational videos.

On the provider side, Pacify Doulas and Lactation Consultants work between the iProvider app and their custom care management backend. These platforms integrate with the patient-facing Pacify app, creating a seamless, enhanced experience for both patient and provider.
